It is made by joining hand-cut pieces of glass using copper foil and lead free solder. There is a small copper ring soldered onto the top to allow the sun-catcher to be suspended by a thread or hung on a suction hook.
Sun-catchers are usually hung in windows where they catch the light and cast coloured shadows into a room. This suncatcher is different as it is made from opaque glass.
They are also very useful for hanging on patio doors to stop young children running through closed doors.
Approximate size 13cm by 13cm.
